
From 2005 through 2007, Rob and Chris Dyson ran a limited Grand-Am schedule in partnership with Howard-Boss Motorsports and Crawford Race Cars. The 2007 Rolex 24 was Rob Dyson's eighteenth.

Porsche offers technical support to its customers at the track and brings the aura and history of the Porsche brand to almost every motorsports series worldwide.
The Porsche 3.8 liter power plant is a production based naturally aspirated engine built to Grand American Road Racing specifications: maximum engine RPM, throttle body size/diameter, valve lift and size and maximum compression ratio are specified. Engine air box and air inlet restrictions are also required. Grand American approves all components and parts prior to being used in competition and the parts must be for sale to the public for sale.
