CLEVELAND, OH, JUNE 26, 2005 — There is a Claes Oldenburg sculpture a couple of blocks from the Burke Lakefront Airport road circuit of a large postal stamp that says ‘FREE.’ Chris Dyson put a lot of sweat equity into a hard fought sixth place in today`s Toyota Atlantic race. A race long battle paid dividends with a five lap from the end pass that gave Dyson his well-earned finish.

Chris Dyson started eighth and unlike yesterday, everyone made it through the first turn without leaving bits of fiberglass in their wake. He exited the first turn in ninth, but quickly moved up to seventh and set his sights on Al Unser. Dyson gained a half second a lap on Unser and tried two passes in turn one that did not stick, but the third time was the charm with a determined pass under braking into turn three.

“It was a respectful weekend overall,” noted Dyson. “The crew did a great job of improving the car through out the weekend. Even with this being our first time here at this uniquely challenging track, we improved on our finishing positions of last weekend. We have been very consistent in our five Atlantic races this year. It is a broadening experience for all of us on the team and this effort is a nice complement to our sports car program.”

This weekend concludes four Atlantic races for the Thetford Norcold team in back-to-back weekends. Now their focus returns to the American Le Mans series, with a race next weekend at Lime Rock CT, their home track. The Thetford/Norold squad has been on pole at Lime Rock every time they have raced there since 1998 – six consecutive times. They were second and third there last year and one, two in 2001. Dyson Racing is coming off of a one, two at the last ALMS race in May at Mid-Ohio.

Saturday`s and Sunday`s Atlantic races will be shown on SPEED TV on July 9 at 2:00 PM ET.
